America’s Youngest Female Billionaire is College Dropout and Medical Genius

Elizabeth Holmes, Founder and CEO of Theranos, says their mission is to revolutionize the medical industry by taking the pain out of blood tests and lab costs.

Elizabeth Holmes dropped out of Stanford University at 19 and, using cash her parents had saved for tuition, founded Theranos, a company that would change the way millions of Americans get their blood tested.

With a tiny pin prick and self-contained sample, her idea made her America’s youngest self-made female billionaire at 30 years old. Her reinvented blood test will soon be offered at certified labs within every Walgreens pharmacy, expanding the already significant number of labs currently in operation.
